About the Artist

  The "artistic vision" that launched American Artist, Freda Lauren's journey at youth has continued to guide her through a long and fulfilling career.  Beautifully expressed renderings reflect her profound appreciation for nature and the uniqueness of each individual.  


Early travels as an esteemed itinerant Artist specializing in Portraiture, her gift of keen observation, and her skill to rapidly and accurately capture the model's likeness, have made this Artist's work quite popular.  


Her experience includes study in New York under such renowned artists as John Howard Sanden, David Leffel, Daniel Greene, and Robert Beverly Hale, plus studies in Europe, travels to Central America, China and Africa.  


  Freda, a gifted teacher, has accepted invitations to present youth and adult art instruction, painting demonstrations,  and exhibitions in various venues in the US and abroad.

   

 A native Southerner and member of The Portrait Club of New York, Freda Lauren established Studio 7 over two decades ago.                 

So well received is the artist's work that she was bestowed the Royal Title, "Lady Freda" by the Duke Von Oldenberg         


Consistently sought for commissioned paintings, this Artist's achievements are measured in the treasured paintings exhibited by supportive patrons throughout the US and beyond.

 Oil Paintings

Single Subject Full Length with vignette background; from $4,500, 3/4 Length from $3,500. Head Pose from $2000.   

  


Pastel Portraits
Pastel refers to a chalk-type medium which comes in an extensive array of soft to deep colors.  Portraits in pastel can be rendered rather quickly, often completed in a matter of days to weeks, are quite durable and are virtually as permanent as oils when properly framed.  
Upper Torso (18x24-20x24) from $850.  Head Pose (16x20) from $600. 


Fees are determined by such variables as Subject(s), Size, and Extent.  Price Quotation given prior to commencement.  30% Deposit upon commissioning; balance on completion.  Framing and Artist's travel to "on-location" site available; cost quoted accordingly.
